چکیده

Introduction Spinal kinematics/motion are reported to be altered in adolescents and adults with essential obesity, while no information is available patients Prader-Willi syndrome so far. The aim of this study was examine cross-sectionally the characteristics spinal postures mobility 34 PWS, 35 age- sex-matched 37 normal-weight individuals. Methods posture were assessed using a radiation-free back scan, Idiag M360 (Idiag, Fehraltorf, Switzerland). Differences between three groups determined two-way analysis variance. Results Adults had greater thoracic kyphosis [difference (Δ) = 9.6 0 , 95% CI 3.3 15.6 p 0.001], less lumbar lordosis (Δ -6.5 -12.7 -0.3 0.03) as well smaller hip than those normal weight. Discussion Although spine Prader-Will appear similar that found subjects influence movements more mobility. These results provide relevant about taken into careful consideration management conditions. findings also highlight importance considering musculoskeletal assessment approaches targeting flexibility syndrome.

Erratum: Postprandial metabolism in adults with prader-willi syndrome.

OBJECTIVE Individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) are commonly restricted to 60-75% of height-appropriate calorie intake because they rapidly become obese on a normal diet. This study measured changes in energy expenditure, glucose and lipid homeostasis, and metabolic flexibility in response to a meal in PWS adults. METHODS 11 adults with PWS were compared with 12 adiposity-matched and 1...
